I grew up in Tucson Arizona, a third-generation Chinese American, the granddaughter of a woman who saved her pocket change as a child in China to open a school; very rare for a young girl to be educated, let alone empower and educate others.

I come from a matriarchal line of revolutionary women—women who are on a quest for freedom—and my life is a manifestation of that truth.

But this expression of me didn't just happen.

Today, I'm a Keynote Speaker, Brand Strategist, Executive Facilitator and Creative Director on a mission to activate leaders to become who they're born to be.

For 15 years, I was the force behind the force. The one who activated everyone else's becoming. Until I realized it was time to claim my own.

The big brands had all the money. The small brands had all the soul. And no one was handing the second group a big enough microphone. [Enter me, stage left]

So I stepped out from behind the curtain. Built the brand. Took the stage. And started investing in myself and my own platform.

That's the work I call Becoming. And it is the most important work any of us will ever do.

For 15 years, I worked behind the scenes as a corporate culture consultant and executive facilitator — designing experiences, building teams, and activating leaders at Nike, Adobe, Google, Sony Music, and beyond.

Until the day I looked around and realized: the leader I kept longing for in others? That was me.

Dancing. Exploring the natural world. Any arts, culture or music festival. A good flea market. Hosting soul family dinners and gatherings. Finding God everywhere. Saying yes to the adventure. Being surrounded by talented, creative, brilliant people and making magic.
